You may have seen my review of the Revlon Parfumerie Wild Violets polish the other day.
Well today I have for you Wintermint, which is another from the Revlon Parfumerie collection!
This review has been a seriously long time coming, and thank you so much to FrontCover Cosmetics for being so amazingly patient with me!
Today I have the FrontCover Cosmetics Nail Art Collection box to show you!
It’s Saturday and I’ve finished work for Christmas!! Woooooo! 11 whole days off and I’m so excited about it. Can’t wait to start brainstorming some ideas for nail art for the new year. Did you manage to get time off work over Christmas?
Today’s tutorial is another part of the true Christmas story….the wise men!
Morning all It’s Saturday! Hooray! We’re off to start Christmas shopping soon and I can’t wait, but before then I have a lovely new OPI nail polish to show you.
A couple of days ago I told you about an email I received from Chemist Direct, asking if I would be interested in trying out and reviewing two OPI polishes for them! I showed your their Can’t Let Go polish, but today I have the second polish they sent me to show you!
This is Polka.Com from the OPI Euro Centrale collection, and what a pretty glitterbomb it is!
Talk about ruby slippers! How gorgeous is this?!
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in shade Red Carpet is another polish which I bought during my business trip to Utah. It is quite a bright red polish packed with tiny red glitter. The glitter is so fine though, that I still managed to get a completely smooth surface with just one topcoat.
Something a little more abstract from me today! I realised that I haven’t done any stamping for ages and couldn’t resist pulling the glitter out too, so here is something a little less inspired and a little more puzzle-like. I actually had quite a lot of fun doing this one!
I started by painting my nails with two coats of Sally Hansen’s Lustre Shine in Azure, and after that had completely dried, I used a Cheeky stamping plate with Barry M Foil Effects Silver to stamp on the wavey pattern. I then used a toothpick dipped in clear nail polish to place on the little bits of silver glitter to give it that last touch of glam!
I love how this mix of colours works so well. The Sally Hansen Azure changes from blue to purple as you move your hand, which compliments the twinkle of the glitter and the silver wave!
Today I have another treat for you from sunny sunny Turkey!
Good morning all!
Today I have for you a polish that I found in a tiny shop on our honeymoon last month!
We spent almost two weeks in Marmaris, Turkey, and had the most amazing time! Marmaris is the home of the second largest bazaar in Turkey, so needless to stay I did spend a couple of afternoons dragging my new husband around all the shops. Most of them just sold jewellery or handbags, but we did come across one little gem that seemed to sell Turkey’s entire supply of nail polish! There was so much of it! Over the two trips, I managed to walk away with no less than 24 nail polishes, which you’ll see on here over the coming weeks.
This beautiful polish is number Golden Rose Jolly Jewels 106. I was a bit gutted that none of them had proper colour names
This was one of the first polishes I picked up, as as you know I have a little bit of a thing for glitter. It’s such an unusual mix of colours with purple, gold and green flecks in it! Just so sparkly!
This polish turned out to be a bit two-sided with regard to the application. It was thicker and a bit gloopier than you would usually want from a glitter polish, but there is just so much glitter packed into it that you don’t need more than two coats for a full coverage.
As you can see, it really does give the most amazing effect on the nail. The purple, green and gold are so vibrant and bold that it is just so eye catching. I can tell this is going to be a polish that I love wearing around Christmas time, with it’s stylish festive appeal.
I bought this polish for just 7 Turkish Lira, which works out as just over £2 – such a bargain! You can buy this polish HERE on the Golden Rose UK website for only £4.99 though which I think is still quite a good price for such a glitter-packed polish!
